Nigerians are migrating in droves to the use of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to circumvent the ban of Twitter operations by the Federal Government.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, who announced the indefinite ban on the operations of the social media platform in Nigeria, said Twitter has allowed itself to be persistently used for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.

And to protest their anger at the ban, Nigerians have migrated to the VPNs in order to continue the use of Twitter.
