  • Notorious bandit, Damina, killed by fighters of notorious bandits’ leader, Dogo Gide, in Koli forest, Zamfara State, Northwest Nigeria

The Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) have ambushed their rival in terrorism and insurgency, Boko Haram Terrorists (BHT) killing two of their high-ranking leaders, Amir Modou Marte and Amir Moustapha Baga.

Sources said that the Boko Haram terrorists were killed during the ambush at Toumboun Gadura’a, Borno State, Northeast Nigeria.

This comes just as the clash between the two groups have heightened over leadership leading to the deaths of many members of the groups.

Tuesday last week, a fight between the two groups led to the death of 84 fighters at Mandra and Gaba Mountains in Gwoza town, Borno State.

The rivalry among the terrorists in Northeast Nigeria has also spilled over to Northwest Nigeria where a notorious bandits leader, Damina, was killed during an intense fight between bandits from his faction and another notorious bandits’ leader, Dogo Gide.

The gun duel took place in Koli forest, Zamfara State.

Sources confirmed that scores of bandits in the Damina faction were also killed and many of their cattle rustled by the Dogo Gide faction.

Also, Nigerian Army troops have killed a notorious bandits’ leader terrorising Shiroro and Munya Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Niger State, Alhaji Na Mata.

Sources also confirmed that the bandits’ leader was killed along with some of his fighters.

The source also said some weapons were recovered.
