- PDP, YPP win one LGA each, elections cancelled in Ihiala LGA, Orumba North results being contested
The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate in Saturday’s Governorship election in Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo is the projected winner and the next occupant of Government House, Awka, having won 17 out of 19 Local Government Areas (LGAs).
Anambra State has a total of LGAs.
The the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Valentine Ozigbo, and the Young Peoples Party (YPP) candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, won one LGA each.
The candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Andy Uba, however did not win any LGA in the election.
According to INEC statistics, no results was declared for Ihiala LGA as “elections did not hold.”
The result of Orumba North LGA was not declared as the result is being contested by both the PDP and APC.
