Terrorists Kill 17 People in Fresh Strike in Malumfashi LGA, Katsina State

Terrorists have struck again in Karfi Ward, Malumfashi Local Government Area (LGA) of Katsina State, Northwest Nigeria, killing 17 people.

Sources confirmed that the terrorists, in their latest attacks, invaded at least five communities under the Karfi Ward on Friday, shooting sporadically at the defenceless citizens, killing the 17 while leaving scores of others with various degrees of wounds.

According to the source, “they came around 11pm on Friday where they started shooting and looting, during which they killed about 17 people.”

The member representing Malumfashi LGA in the State House of Asssembly, Aminu Ibrahim Saidu, who also confirmed the incident, said he has visited the areas and sympathised with the families over the unfortunate incident.

Katsina State have been witnessing increased terrorists’ activities recently with the Police Command attributing it to the influx of terrorists and bandits from Zamfara and Sokoto States due to the ongoing military operations in the areas.
