Rampaging Gunmen Invade Anambra State Broadcast Station In Onitsha, Burn Building, Vehicles, Equipment

The spate of violence continues in Anambra State as the rampaging gangs of gunmen invaded the premises of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), Awada, Onitsha station in the early hours of Monday, burning building and vehicles.

Anambra Broadcasting Service, a State government-owned company has been giving support to the State government on its fight against rampaging gunmen.

The vehicles burnt include a bus belonging to the broadcast station and another vehicle parked in the premises belonging to a staff who had worked overnight.

Sources noted that though no life was lost in the invasion and destruction, the gunmen brutalised the staff they met in the premises, inflicting injuries on them.

As is normal with Nigerian security agents, they arrived after the destruction and are now interrogating the staff who were on duty when the incident happened.
