Nollywood: Actors Guild Of Nigeria Suspends Actor Moses Armstrong Over Alleged Rape Of Minor

Moses Armstrong, a Nollywood actor, has been suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) after he was accused of raping a 16-year-old girl in Akwa Ibom State.

Moses was arrested by operatives of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command after a complaint was filed against him.

The president of the Guild, Emeka Rollas, who confirmed the arrest, said the matter was being handled by the wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom, Martha Udom Emmanuel.

In a statement released on Saturday, Emeka said it is a sad development, adding that the allegation was strong and the AGN will allow the law to take its course.

Emeka also confirmed that Moses is now prohibited from acting until the investigation is concluded.
