Tems Pulls Out Of Strawberries & Creem Festival Due To Ill-health

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Temilade Openiyi known professionally as Tems, is still unwell and has now pulled out of the Music and Youth Culture Strawberries & Creem Festival in the United Kingdom.

This came five days after she announced via her verified Twitter page that because of the health issues, she would be cancelling two of her international shows in the United Kingdom.

On Tuesday, Tems shocked her friends and fans when she revealed of being diagnosed with reflux Laryngitis.

The ailment is known to be an irritation at the back of the throat due to acid or other chemicals which come up from the back of the stomach.

The Nigerian singer announced in a statement she released on Sunday that she will not be at the festival.

According to Tems said: “I’m sorry to say am still unwell with Laryngitis.

“I had expected to be well enough to perform and was advised by my doctor that I would most likely be recovered in time for my set at Strawberries and Cream.

“I am devastated to have pulled out but I hope you still have an incredible day at the festival with lots of amazing artistes playing.

” I look forward to seeing you in Cambridge as soon as I possibly can.”
