Terrorists Release 35 Kidnap Victims In Kaduna Community After Ransom Payment

Thirty five residents kidnapped by terrorists at the Millenium City settlement in Chikun Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State, have regained their freedom.

Sources, who confirmed that the victims were received by the residents of the community on Friday, further noted that N2.5m each was paid as ransom before the 35 hostages could regain their freedom.

However, a victim was still in the custody of the terrorists as the family was yet to settle the ransom demand of purchasing two motorbikes for them.

According to an eyewitness, among the victims released are a medical doctor and fifteen others hostages taken away by the bandits last month.

The leader of the Civilian Joint Task Force of the community, Uwasu Yunusa, who confirmed the released of the kidnapped victims, was silent on whether ransom was paid or not.
