Fr. Mbaka Now Sacked From Adoration Ministry Over Politically-related Preaching, Sent To Monastery

“Many people are wasting their time in the 2023 general elections. God said I should not reveal it,” Mbaka said on Sunday

Days after the Adoration Ministry was opened by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu over some of the utterances and politically-related preaching of its Priest, Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, he has been transferred out from the Ministry and sent to a Monastery.

Mbaka had ignited fresh controversy when he spoke during his first mass after being banned for months on Sunday, toeing the same line by announcing that “many people are wasting their time in the 2023 general elections. God said I should not reveal it. But as it stands, many people are wasting their time.

“The Lord said that the vision shall surely come to pass even if it tarries, just wait for it.

“If not for the warning of the Holy Spirit I would have given Nigeria a simple solution. But just wait.”

However, in the place of Father Mbaka, another clergy of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, Reverend Father Anthony Amadi has been posted to take charge of the Adoration Ministry.

Mbaka has been sent to Monastery. The transfer is with immediate effect.

A top member of the ministry, who confirmed the posting, described the new development was unfortunate.

According to him, “all along, the Bishop has been trying to take over the Adoration Ministry. But I can assure you that no priest will succeed there. So long as Father Mbaka is not there, nobody will come there to worship.

“This will lead to anarchy. It’s unthinkable that this kind of harsh decision could be made. We the adorers will never accept any other priest.

“Father Mbaka suffered and built that place will sole effort. Now they have tactically hijacked the place through the backyard. Let’s see how they will succeed.”

Mbaka’s trouble started three months ago after he preached against Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
