Obi-Datti Ticket: Datti Baba-Ahmed Broke Down In Tears On Live TV Over Attacks On His Family

Datti Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, Vice Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party, on Sunday broke down in tears during a town hall meeting organised by Channels TV over attacks on his family.

Baba-Ahmed, who was on air alongside Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate, said his family became target of attacks after he was nominated as Obi’s running mate.

“Someone has to tap them on the shoulder. I did and told him to do it and I will do three you know I am capable of doing it.

“However I and my family have been paying a huge price for my attempts to rescue Nigeria. They sent all sorts of people after me. I would have been much happier if only they stopped at me as an individual.”

As he uttered those words, the vice-presidential candidate fought back tears.

Among those who have constantly criticised Baba-Ahmed is Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister, who is on the campaign team of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Presidential Candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
