I Am In Today’s Presidential Race To Win, Ignore Any Story Of Stepping Down For Anybody, Says Obi, Campaign DG

The Presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, is in today’s race to win and Nigerians especially Obidients should ignore the propaganda going round that he has stepped down for anybody, says Akin Osuntokun, Director General of Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).

Earlier on Wednesday when the same set of propaganda started, Obi had said: “I want to reassure Nigerians that I am still very much in the race. Please disregard any old video, which I made in 2019 when I was vying to became the Vice President, which is being circulated by mischief makers as my endorsement of a candidate.

“For your sake and so far through your support, I am in the race and for your sake and the sake of the country, I shall see the contest till the end. May God help us to take back our country.”

On Saturday morning, as Nigerians go to the polls and another set of videos and misinformation started flying, Osuntokun said in a statement” We have the need to deny once again the persistent propagation of the fraudulent misrepresentation that our principal, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, against all logic and reason, requested Nigerians to vote for the presidential candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, at the forthcoming presidential election on Saturday, 25th February 2023. Kindly disregard this vile propaganda and disinformation. It is lie. Peter Obi is still solidly in the race.”
