Meet Nigeria’s New Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla

Rear Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla is the new Chief of Naval Staff (CNS).

A Regular combatant officer of the Nigerian Navy, he is a member of Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) 39 Regular Course.

An Executive Branch (Hydrography) officer, Admiral Ogalla hails from Enugu-Ezike, Enugu State.

Appointments held by Ogalla include Director Lessons Learnt at NHQ (PPLANS), NHQ( Policy and Plans Branch), NHQ (PPLANS) – D LESSONS LEARNT, NHQ (NASS) – D AUDIT 17/03/2021, NHQ (NAVSEC) – DPR  08/04/2019, NDC – DS 16/01/2017, NHQ – DD HYDRO 28/03/2016, HYDRO SCH – CO   29/08/2014 and COURSE – POST NDC MSC PROG UNI IBADAN 03/11/2014.

Other appointments held by the new CNS include COURSE – NDC COURSE 22 05/09/2013, HYDRO OFFICE – R’APPT SO1 INSTRUMENT 01/02/2007, NHQ – AD CAREER PLANNING 28/10/2011, HYDRO OFFICE – DD ADMIN 14/03/2011 and PATHFINDER – BOO 20/08/2009.
