Russia Fighting Sacred Fight Against ‘Evil Cabal, And DPRK Supports Every Decision Putin Makes – North Korea’s Kim

  • “Now, Russia is fighting a sacred fight to protect its state sovereignty and security while combating hegemonic forces that oppose Russia,” the North Korean leader said

The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea believes that Russia is fighting a sacred fight for its sovereignty and security and Pyongyang supports every decision Russian President Vladimir Putin makes, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said during talks with his Russian counterpart.

“Now, Russia is fighting a sacred fight to protect its state sovereignty and security while combating hegemonic forces that oppose Russia,” Kim said, adding that his visit came at “a special time.”

The North Korean leader stated his full support to the Russian leadership. “We have always supported every decision that President Putin or the Russian government makes,” Kim said. According to him, Pyongyang is seeking to develop further its relationship with Moscow.

He expressed confidence that the Russian army and people will be victorious over the “evil cabal” that they face, which harbors expansionist illusions, in a toast at a formal luncheon with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“We are confident that the Russian army and people will unquestionably win a great victory in the sacred struggle to punish the evil cabal with hegemonic pretensions and that harbors expansionist illusions, and [win the struggle] to create a stable environment for development,” he said while giving a toast at the luncheon with Putin.

“I am deeply convinced that the heroic Russian army and people, brilliantly taking on the inheritance of the tradition of victory, will confidently demonstrate the priceless virtues of honor on two fronts: the special military operation and the building of a strong state,” the North Korean leader added.

Kim Jong Un has said that he is ready to build stable and future-oriented interstate relations with the Russian president and on their basis to encourage the emergence of strong states and protect international justice.

“I will work with the president [of Russia] to build stable and future-oriented Korea-Russia relations, extended well into the future and on their basis to encourage the building of strong states in both countries and enforce true international justice,” he said at a gala reception hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The DPRK leader came to Russia at the invitation of the Russian president. His visit has the status of an official one – this is one of the highest categories in protocol practice. Previously, Kim Jong Un came to Russia in April 2019 for talks with Putin in Vladivostok. It was their first meeting.
