Nigerian Army University Biu Borno State Holds Maiden Convocation Ceremony Saturday

The Nigerian Army University Biu (NAUB) will hold its maiden convocation ceremony on Saturday, 28 October 2023 at the university’s Sports Pavilion, Biu, Borno State.

At the ceremony, it will confer the First Degrees to 485 deserving graduating students and Honorary Doctorate Degrees to some deserving eminent Nigerians.

According to a statement by the Registrar, Brigadier General Harbo Yahaya Abdulhamid, “programmes lined up to mark the historic convocation ceremony include First Convocation Golf Kitty, First Convocation Lecture, Chancellor’s Night, First Convocation and Fifth Foundation Day, and Formal Installation of its First Chancellor, His Royal Majesty, Major General (rtd) Felix Mujakperuo, CFR mni, the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom.”

Details of the programmes shows that the First Convocation Golf Kitty holds Thursday, October 20-22, 2023 at the NAUB Golf Club Biu while the First Convocation Lecture titled “Disarmament, Demobilisation, Reconciliation, and Reintegration of Disengaging Insurgents in North-East Nigeria: Way Forward” to be delivered by former Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf (rtd), holds today Friday October 27, 2023 at the Faculty of Arts Lecture Theatre by 4pm.

Other events include Chancellor’s Night (Strictly on Invitation) which holds Friday October 27, 2023 at NAUB ST Foods, NAUB by 7:00 pm.

The First Convocation and Fifth Foundation Day and formal Installation of its First Chancellor, His Royal Majesty, Major General Felix Mujakperuo, (rtd) will hold Saturday October 28, 2023 at the NAUB Sports Complex by 10:00 a.m. with the highlight being the award of first degrees and the conferring of honorary doctorate degrees to some deserving eminent personalities.
