Kidnappings: Bandits Threaten To Kill 11 Abuja Captives Over Delay To Pay Ransom

The abductors of over 15 persons at Kawu village in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja have threatened to kill the remaining 11 victims being held over delay to pay their ransom money and a brand-new Bajaj motorcycle by their families.

The bandits had invaded Kawu on January 11, 2024, and whisked away over 15 persons, including a couple, children of the District Head of Kawu and a female nurse.

However, the bandits on Monday, January 22, 2024, freed four of the victims after N5m was given to them and held back 11 of them in their captivity.

However, on Sunday, a family member of four of the victims, Bala Danjuma, said the bandits’ leader called on Saturday morning and threatened to kill the remaining 11 victims over delay in paying their ransom.

The Spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, was yet to reply to an SMS sent to her phone.
