Russia: Over 60 People Killed, 99 Wounded in Crocus City Hall, Moscow Terrorists’ Attack

  • The death toll may rise, a source in Russia’s Investigative Committee said

More than 60 people were killed in a terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall music venue in the city of Krasnogorsk in the Moscow Region, a source in Russia’s Investigative Committee told TASS.

“It has been preliminarily established that the terrorist attack killed over 60 people. Unfortunately, the death toll may rise,” the source said.

Investigators, criminalists and experts of the Russian Investigative Committee together with operating units of the Internal Affairs Ministry and the Federal Security Service continue investigative activities at the spot, the source added.

A terrorist attack was carried out at the Crocus City Hall music venue in the city of Krasnogorsk near Moscow on Friday evening. Unidentified gunmen armed with assault rifles went on a shooting spree. An explosion rocked the building, starting a fire.

Meanwhile, the lists of those wounded in the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall have been published on the official website of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, a source in the ministry’s press service told TASS.

The list published includes 99 people that were injured.

The information about the number and state of those injured is relevant as of 4:00 a.m. Moscow time.
