NAF Super Tucano Jets, Ground Troops Foil Raid on DSS Assets in Niger, Kill Scores of Terrorists

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) jet along with the ground troops on Wednesday foiled terrorists’ move to totally vandalise assets of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Niger State.

A credible defence intelligence source informed PRNigeria that the troops, with the aid of A-29 Super Tucano jets belonging to the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), also succeeded in killing scores of terrorists who attacked the DSS’ assets.

The source confirmed that the DSS facility where the terrorists planned to invade is located in Bassa community of Shiroro Local Government Area of the State.

According to him, the troops’ successful onslaught against the terrorists followed an intelligence report to the military command about an ambush attack on some DSS personnel and their assets.

“The Super Tucano jets were swiftly deployed for a purpose. And they didn’t disappoint. The NAF jets’ strikes eliminated no fewer than 30 bandits. However, the casualty on the part of the intelligence officers was low,” the operative said.
