Officers investigating an alleged assault on an 11-year-old girl in Cardiff have charged a man. The alleged incident happened on Friday, October 25 between Cardiff Gold Club and Pentwyn Road which passes by Glyn Rhosyn.
The man has also been charged in connection with a second alleged incident which happened on October 23 on a bus between Barry and Cardiff. It involved a 15-year-old girl who was allegedly approached by an individual who made “improper suggestions.”
Alexander Dale, 31, from Adamsdown, is charged with sexual assault by touching a girl under 13 years of age and with inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. He has been remanded in custody and will appear before Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 1 2024.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “Detectives investigating an assault upon an 11-year-old girl which happened Friday, October 25 on the footpath between Cardiff Golf Club and Pentwyn Road which passes by Glyn Rhosyn, Pontprennau have charged a man.
“He has also been charged in connection with another incident which happened on October 23 on a bus between Barry and Cardiff where he approached a 15-year-old girl making improper suggestions.
“Alexander Dale, 31, from Adamsdown, is charged with sexual assault by touching a girl under 13 years of age and with inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. Dale has been remanded in custody and will appear before Cardiff Magistrates Court on November 1 2024.”
