Update: Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases rise to 190

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday said that the country has recorded six new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections to 190. 

The figure was 184 as Thursday night.

All the six new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Osun State, Nigeria where some Nigeria recently arrived from some countries in the West African sub-region were earlier diagnosed with the virus.

According to the NCDC via its Twitter handle, “as at 11:00 am 3rd April, there are 190 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Twenty have been discharged with two deaths. For a breakdown of cases by States, Lagos has 98, Federal Capital
Territory (FCT) – 38, Osun – 20, Oyo – 8, Ogun – 4, Edo – 4, Kaduna – 4, Bauchi – 3, Enugu – 2, Ekiti – 2, Rivers-1, Benue- 1 and Akwa Ibom – 5.
