COVID-19: Lagos State Govt Makes U-turn on Akindele case, drop charges against Naira Marley, Gbadamosi

In what many close watchers of the trial of popular actress, Funke Akindele (aka Jennifa) have described as double standard after she was slammed with 14 days Public service for violating the lock down order, the Lagos state government on Wednesday dropped all four charges against Naira Marley and politician, Babatunde Gbadamosi who were invited guests at the controversial birthday bash thrown by Akindele and her hubby JJC Skills.

In what showed traces that the Lagos state government was set to act in a shady manner, journalists covering court proceedings were on Wednesday barred from covering proceedings

A defence Council, Mr. Ebun Adegboruwa, SAN made the development known to newsmen on Wednesday at the premises of the Ogba Magistrate Court.

Adegboruwa said the state withdrew the charges on the condition that the defendants would tender an apology to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), and Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
