Giwa made the cash donation on a Whatsapp platform, Nigeria Sports Mouthpiece, (NSM Branded) on Tuesday.

According to Adewale Ajayi, the moderator of the platform, a breakdown of the N500, 000 largesse shows that two sports journalists, one in Abuja and another in Canada will receive N100, 000 each while the remaining N300, 000.00 would be shared among journalists in the platform.

“He sent me 500k this morning with the following instructions:

“He said i should give Michael Obasi 100k and that I should take 100k.

“I am doing this because I know he is reading and because like you all know, I like coming to equity with clean hands.

“What this means is that I have been directed to give you guys on NSM 300k to buy hand sanitizers, hand gloves and face masks to fight the coronavirus.
