Mrs Bilkisu Mary Yusuf , wife of former Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Luka Nyeh Yusuf, is dead.
Sources said that Mrs Bilikisu Mary Yusuf died on Wednesday morning at the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital (NARH) Kaduna, after a brief illness.
Lieutenant General Yusuf served as Chief of Army Staff between 2007 and 2008 and died in London on June 2, 2009 after a protracted illness at the age of 56.
Between 2007 and 2008 when his husband was Chief of Army Staff, late Mrs Bilikisu Mary Yusuf was the chairperson of the Nigerian Army Officers Wives Association (NAOWA), the umbrella body of wives of all serving officers of the Nigerian Army.
