NAF begins airlift of medical relief materials to 13 ECOWAS member nations

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commenced the airlift of medical relief materials on behalf of Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission and international donor partners.

It is being carried out by the NAF C-130 Transport Hercules to 13 West African Countries.

A tweet from the NAF, said the airlift and distribution of the relief materials are in response to the 2nd wave of COVID-19 infections witnessed in some West African countries.

According to the tweet on Wednesday morning: “On the directive of the CAS, Air Marshal Oladayo Amao, @CAS_IOAmao, NAF C-130 Hercules aircraft today commenced the airlift of medical relief materials on behalf of ECOWAS Commission and donor partners to 13 West African Countries.

“The airlift and distribution of the relief materials are in response to the 2nd wave of COVID-19 infections witnessed in some West African countries.”
