Navy Cancels 65th Anniversary Celebrations Over Death of General Attahiru, 10 others

The Nigerian Navy has cancelled all activities lined up for its 65th anniversary as it mourns the death of former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 others who died in Friday evening air crash at the Kaduna International airport.

Nigerian Navy Spokesperson, Commodore Suleiman Dahun, confirmed the new development in a Facebook post on Saturday morning.

According to Commodore Dahun, “Nigerian Navy 65th Anniversary celebration cancelled following death of COAS.”
