3-Day Nigeria-UK Security, Defence Partnership Dialogue Begins in London

The first ever Nigeria-UK Security and Defence Partnership Dialogue has opened in London.

The historic dialogue is holding at Locarno Rooms, King Charles Street, FCDO, London.

Nigeria-UK Security and Defence Partnership was agreed between the two countries in 2018.

This week’s dialogue will be the first meeting following the 2018 agreement.

According to a statement by the Press and Public Affairs Officer, British High Commission, Miss Ndidiamaka Eze, the dialogue was led by the U.K. National Security Adviser, Sir Stephen Lovegrove and his Nigerian counterpart, Major General Babagana Monguno (rtd).

The dialogue, which began on Monday, is scheduled to last for three days.

The pace-setting event, which will end on February 2, includes a series of breakout sessions covering counter terrorism, serious and organised crime, civilian policing and human rights.
