Up to Yesterday, He was The Greatest living embodiment of the History of the Tonic of Conscious Youth, heralding the Emerging Dawn of a new Era in a Peoples’ History, just as it is happening today!
Yes, they did it in 1960, no matter how imperfect the resultant Union.
In 2014, we (ADF) invited him (Mbazulike Amaechi) along with the ICON of Administration, Innocent NWOGA; the Indefatigable Ikenga Nnewi- Dr Dozie IKEDIFE, all of Living Memory; together with the legendary Mama ADF, Madam Maria OKWOR in the Home of Elder Kalu UKE KALU. After listening to the leadership of the Conference of Democratic Scholars (CODES) who outlined their Vision to birth a Movement that would Crystalize in an Organization to drive a new historical Agenda for the Redemption of Alaigbo and her neighbors, The Boy Is Good said to us –
“Ehaa! Ahunam Ihe Mgagwa Zik na MI, ma mu ladu ebeahi! Mgagwaha na ahunam sign na Alaigbo na Ndi Agbata Obi ha na ebido Mgbanwe Idozi Obodo Dika ha choro Bu Otu Okwesili!
(-Yes, I now have a message for Zik and MI – Michael Okpara, when I meet them – that I have seen a sign that Alaigbo and her neighbors are now ready to move ——along the trajectory they dreamt – namely, the trajectory of A UNION OF AUTONOMOUS FREE PEOPLES BOUND TOGETHER BY THE SPIRIT OF FREEDOM, JUSTICE, EQUITY AND EQUALITY!
And then we met Again in 2019 – this time it was in his (Mbazulike’s) house in Ukpor! That was in the course of our (ADF) Industrial Tour.
The study of history (not history as mere story-telling) but history as understanding the fundamental impulses and dynamics that drive world history and guide the destiny of a people, is necessary for any one who desires to be an agent of history!
Yes, this has been the focus of ADF. As an organization born as an agent of history, we sought for that trajectory in our history to which we can link the Present with our Authentic Past in order to actualize a future of HAPPY UNITED FREE PEOPLES, BOUND BY THE UNBREAKABLE SPIRIT OF FREEDOM, JUSTICE, EQUITY AND EQUALITY!
The aspect of that Past that interested ADF and to which we sought to link the Present was the developmental philosophy of the Azikiwe-Okoara era. That was the same era and development philosophy of the Awolowos in Oduduwaland. It was the same social philosophy that would have taken root in the Hausa land of the Aminu Kanos as well as the Tiv land of the Joseph Tarfa era, etc, if they had achieved their leadership quest in their variou regions.
And now coming back to our (ADF) Industrial Tour!
Incidentally we started that Tour from Anambra State. The Tour was led by late Dr Dozie IKEDIFE, Chairman ADF Board of Trustees, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, Chairman ADF Business and Development Committee and my humble self.
Our first port of call was the home of The Boy Is Good, Mbazulike Amaechi.
During the reception, The Boy is Good said to us –
“My brothers, please thank MR PETER OBI for me. This car you see outside, was the car he bought for me when he was Governor of Anambara State. He did the same for my other colleagues.”
We later learnt that Mr Obi, as Governor of Anambra State, did the same for the great world-renowned mathematician, Prof Chike Obi. He even built a house for him.
And now with the current earth-shaking movement of the Youths of our era!
And with this movement anchored on the Symbolism and Reality of Mr Peter Obi!
And now with the living Titans of our history giving their blessing and support to this miracle of our era wrought by no other force, but that of the innocent youth under the guidance of our ancestors!
And now with The Boy is Good, Dara Akunwafor, having joined our Ancestors- The Azikiwe’s, The Awolowo’s, The Michael Okpara’s, the Aminu Kano’s, The Abdullah’s, The Joseph Tarka’s, The Enahoro’s and even the Sardauna’s and Tafawa Balewa’s, etc, etc.
He has a follow-up Authentic Message for them, to wit –
“That an Authentic Union is emerging in our land – namely –
