As part of her efforts to garner support for her husband’s aspiration, Wife of Gombe State Governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in next year’s general elections, Hajiya Samira Khamisu Mailantarki, has given out bags of rice and other food items to the party’s Ward women leaders of the Mailantarki 2023 Support Groups and Kwankwasiyya Movement in the State.
Speaking while giving the items during an interactive meeting with women in Gombe North Senatorial district held at the party’s Secretariat on Sunday, Hajia Mailantarki urged the women to support and vote for her husband as the next Governor of the State as well as other party’s candidates in the the 2023 general elections.
Mrs Samira Mailantarki also called on the women leaders to persuade other women in every nook and crannies of the State to vote for the NNPP and ensure that it wins at all levels.
She also urged Gombe State women to come-out enmasse and vote for her husband during the 2023 general elections.
Wife of the NNPP gubernatorial candidate later assured the women that her husband will carry them along in his government by giving them political appointments and empower them through various empowerment programmes.
While responding on behalf of the women leaders, the State NNPP Women leader, promised to work for the success of NNPP at all levels.
She stressed that Gombe State women have been relegated to the background in the last four years by the present APC led administration as they were never involved in the running of the administration.
The Women leader then assured that she will join other leaders to effectively mobilize women to collect their PVCs to enable them vote for the NNPP candidates at all levels.
She then thanked Samira Mailantarki for the donation assuring that it will be distributed to all women members of the party across the state.
