Thousands of Bauchi Muslim Ummah on Tuesday adhered to the directive of the Emir of Bauchi, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Rilwani Sulaiman Adamu as they trooped to the Bauchi Central Eid prayer grounds for the special prayers for consistent rain in the State.
The special prayers, led by the Emir himself, sought for divine intervention from Allah for the blessings of the rain across Bauchi State and Bauchi Emirate particularly.
Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu called on the people of Bauchi Emirate to avoid wickedness, envy, and covetousness which always bring about displeasure leading to the Almighty Allah’s punishments on the citizens.
According to the Emir: “We must avoid and shun all sorts of evils that as a results of which our society will never witness the blessings of Almighty Allah.”
The Emir further said that living in peace with one another is very paramount stressing that It is not a certain individual’s responsibility to maintain peace but everyone’s duty because peace is the path we take for bringing growth and prosperity to our society.
Said he: “If we do not have peace and harmony with one another, the Almighty Allah will not bless us with rains and other blessings.
He also said that when peace and harmony are maintained, things will continue to run smoothly without any delay. Moreover, it can be a saviour for many who do not wish to engage in any disrupting activities,”
The Emir appreciated the Almighty Allah for preserving lives and the peaceful coexistence among citizens of the Emirate and the society at large, calling on the entire good people of Bauchi to continue to pray for the blessings of the rain from the Almighty Allah.
In the same vein, the leadership of JIBWIS Islamic sect in Bauchi State led all its members across the State to come out and participate in the special prayers for rain to be held on Tuesday, 18th July, 2023.
Leader of the JIBWIS in the State, Barrister Garba Hassan had directed that all leaders at the Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the State should mobilize their members to come out for the prayers considering the situation of lack of constant rain across the State.
He lamented that crops and other plants are getting dried due to lack of enough rain stressing that the development needs God’s divine intervention to prevent famine in the state at the end of the season.
Garba Hassan stated that effective from Tuesday, 18/7/2023, the Special prayers will commence at the Juma’a mosque in Gwallaga, Bauchi by 8:00am as well as in every Izalah Eid ground across the state capital.
The LGAs of the Izala sect too will hold similar prayers at the designated Eid grounds across the state in order to seek for divine intervention for rains constantly directing that prayers will continue until the objectives are met.
Hoping that people of the state will join in the special prayers considering the fact that it is for the benefit of all irrespective of sect as released by the JIBWIS Social Media, Bauchi State Directorate.
Meanwhile, the Damaturu Emirate Council in Yobe State has informed the general public that the prayer for divine intervention from Almighty Allah for Rain (Salatu Istiqama) organized by the Emirate Council to be held tomorrow, 19th July, 2023 by 8:00am at the Damaturu Emirate eid ground has been cancelled.
A statement from Babagana Grema, the Admin Officer Damaturu Emirate Council explained that “This follows the rain downfall which is a clear indication that Almighty Allah has looked into our situation and answered our prayers even before performing the Salat tomorrow.”
He added that, “However, His Royal Highness, Alh. (Dr.) Shehu Hashimi II Ibn Umar Al-Amin El-Kanemi CPAN, FIAMN Emir of Damaturu has urged the general public (Muslim Ummah) to embarked on continuous prayers for thanking Almighty Allah as well as more rain and blesseful season for bumper hervest.
