The indicted high-ranking officials of the NCS, according to a report by PREMIUM TIMES, had earlier been grilled by the anti-graft agency and parts of the bribes they received confiscated.

The officers include Ibrahim Jalo, Nurudeen Musa, Mohammed Rabiu, Ibrahim Hamisu, Madugu Saleh, Umar Tafarki and Kayode Kolade.

The anti-graft agency had reportedly traced N1.1 billion to Jalo out of which he has refunded N250 million, with a promise to refund the balance while N126 million was traced to his PA, Umar Tafarki.

Another officer involved in the saga, Kayode Kolade, is the Comptroller Federal Operations Unit (FOU), Zone C, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

No charges have been pressed against them by the EFCC as they are currently at their respective duty posts.

The Spokesperson of the anti-graft agency, Dele Oyewale, in a telephone conversation with Daily Trust confirmed that there were no charges against the officers.

“Is it when the investigation is completed that charges would be pressed against the suspect? All I can tell you is that investigation is still ongoing,” Oyewale told our correspondent.
