The looting spree of truckloads of goods by residents has spread to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as residents on Sunday morning looted a warehouse belonging to the Nigerian National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) over the hunger arising from the current economic hardship across the country.

The looted warehouse is located in Karimo, Phase 3 region of the FCT, Abuja.
The residents carted away foodstuffs and other items.
Personnel of the Nigeria Police Force were deployed to the area to disperse the looters and secure the building.
Spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, confirmed the incident saying that the situation had been brought under control.
“The situation is now under control,” she said.
