Notorious terrorist kingpin, Dogo Gide, has reportedly died of gunshot wounds.
Sources confirmed that the gunshot wounds were sustained during a gunfire exchange with gallant troops of Operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) in Madada Forest, Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State on March 12, 2024.
Dogo Gide was involved with terrorists group ANSARU and other significant terrorist organisations and was linked to serious crimes including the shooting down of a military helicopter in the Dansadau-Birmin Gwari region and the kidnapping of students from Federal Government College Yauri.
Econs Intelligence said in a report on Wednesday that “the demise of Dogo Gide marks a significant victory for the Nigerian Military, particularly the combined efforts of the 1st and 8th Divisions of the Nigerian Army.”
Meanwhile, the security operative who assisted to a hospital before he eventually died, it has been learnt.
Imran Muhammad @Imranmuhdz, in a statement on X, said that “despite suffering serious injuries, Dogo Gide was said to have been covertly taken to a hospital in Mabera, Sokoto, Sokoto State, where he eventually passed away.
“Dogo Gide, a notorious fugitive sought for his series of heinous crimes in the area, was laid to rest in Dandalla Village on March 24. His appearance at the hospital was supposedly made easier by a security official who is currently detained, prompting concerns about potential cooperation within the security forces.”
