Anambra PDP Begins Screening Over 700 Aspirants Ahead Of Local Govt Primaries, Election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Anambra State chapter on Sunday began the screening of over 700 aspirants ahead of the Local Government primaries ahead of the September 28, 2024 election.

According to a statement by the Charles Nwufoh, the Media Aide to the State Chairman, Engr Igwe Chigozie: “In preparation for the Local Government Elections scheduled for September 28th, 2024, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Anambra State Chapter’s Secretariat was abuzz as it kicked off its aspirant screening process with over 700 enthusiastic aspirants gathered for a comprehensive briefing.

“The screening exercise commenced immediately after the briefing, marking a significant milestone in the party’s electoral journey. Engr. Igwe Chigozie, the Chairman of the PDP Anambra State Chapter, addressed the aspirants, outlining the party’s vision, expectations, and the rigorous screening process designed to select the most qualified candidates.

“This rigorous screening process underscores the party’s commitment to fielding only the best candidates for the upcoming Local Government Elections. With over 700 aspirants vying for positions, the competition is expected to be fierce, but only those who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, vision, and dedication to the party’s ideals will emerge victorious.

“Following the successful screening, clearance certificates were issued to the qualified aspirants, paving the way for their participation in the PDP primaries.
