Ex-COAS, General KTJ Minimah, Congratulates Governor Fubara On “Seamless” Rivers Local Govt Elections

Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Kenneth Minimah (rtd), has commended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, for the “seamless conduct of the Local Government elections held on Saturday, October 5th, 2024.”

In a congratulatory message to the Governor on Sunday, General Minimah, who is also the Chairman of Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), Rivers State Chapter, particularly lauded Fubara’s resolve in ensuring that the elections took place as the outcome as “a significant milestone for the State.”

While urging the Governor to remain resolute in driving the development of the State, General Minimah also urged politicians to prioritise the welfare of the people and put the needs of their constituents above other considerations.

According to the former COAS: “I wish to praise Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara for the seamless conduct of the local government elections and his resolve in ensuring the elections took place.

“The outcome of the election is a significant milestone for the State. Fubara has been steering the ship, and I urge him to remain resolute in driving development.

“This development and the successful Local Government elections signify Governor Fubara’s administration’s commitment to the people at the grassroots.”

He also commended the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission and the people for their part in the success of the election.
