Alleged Infidelity: How Jealous Husband Stabbed Osun Pentecostal Bishop To Death Over Suspected Affairs With Wife

The Osun State Police Command has given insight into the fatal stabbing of a Bishop Sina Olaribigbe of Rapture Empowerment International, Oshogbo, Osun State, allegedly by a jealous husband who suspected him of having an affair with his wife.

Osun State Police Command Spokesperson, CSP Yemisi Opalola, said in a statement that the tragic incident took place on Thursday in Osogbo when the husband found the Bishop at his estranged wife’s residence and acted out of suspicion and rage.

According to Opalola: “The couple are not living together, though they are not legally separated. The Bishop had been intervening in their marital disputes, and on this occasion, he was at the wife’s house when the estranged husband arrived.

“The husband probably believed the Bishop was having an affair with his wife. He acted out of rage and stabbed the Pastor multiple times, killing him instantly.”

Opalola confirmed that the suspect is now in Police custody, while the Bishop’s body has been deposited at the morgue.

Sources confirmed that the suspect’s wife is a member of the deceased Bishop’s church and that she serves as an Interpreter in the Ministry.

Police also confirmed that further investigations into the incident are ongoing.
