Since the disgraceful exposure of the ₦20 billion Ahmadu Bello Stadium “renovation project” which was hurriedly awarded to three companies secretly linked to him,the governor has been scampering for cover like a pickpocket caught in daylight. Instead of defending himself with facts, he forced the Sports Commissioner to issue a weak, error-ridden press statement that only confirmed what we already knew: the contract was awarded in secrecy, without due process, and with a clear intent to loot.
What Uba Sani does not realise is that even his own appointees and civil servants are boiling with anger at his greed, arrogance, and suffocating style of governance.
Hospitals Rot While Billions Vanish Everyday!
How can any sane leader pour ₦20 billion into a stadium while hospitals across Kaduna are collapsing into mass graves? The so called “renovated” hospitals are nothing but skeletal carcasses. Contractors were paid a scandalous 80% mobilisation fee only to abandon projects at 40% completion. What’s left are half-built ruins, rusting equipment, and lifeless facilities. They are at best be described as living monuments to Uba Sani’s corruption and reckless waste.
Yet, in the midst of this decay, Uba Sani orchestrated what will forever remain Kaduna’s greatest political fraud is the dragging of President Bola Tinubu to “commission” the Millennium City Specialist Hospital. On that day, the hospital had no staff, no equipment, no ambulances, no power—nothing but empty walls. The governor reportedly imported few fake doctors,nurses,rented furnitures and patients to deceive the President and the nation. Tinubu was later said to be livid with rage when security agents briefed him on the scam after he returned to Abuja.
Barnawa Bridge: A Fool’s Arithmetic
If lying were an Olympic sport, Uba Sani would win gold. On the Barnawa Bridge, he shamelessly claimed to have inherited the project at “30% completion”. The bridge costs about ₦12 billion. His government has only paid ₦2.7 billion so far. By his voodoo mathematics, ₦2.7 billion equals to 70% of ₦12 billion.
Even a primary school child knows ₦2.7 billion is just 22.5%, not 70%. This is not mere deceit but an insult to the intelligence of every Kaduna citizen.
The Fertiliser Fraud: Dollars in the Governor’s Pocket à la Ganduje’s Style
Recently, Uba Sani boasted to the whole world that his administration procured “over 400 trailers” of fertiliser. His own arithmetic betrayed him: 200 beneficiaries per ward, 2 bags each, across 255 wards equals 102,000 bags. That’s roughly 170 trailers. But here’s the ugly truth: the CBN, on behalf of the Federal Government, paid for 600 trailers into the Kaduna State Government’s account.Out of these, Barbados delivered only 56 trailers. Indoroma added 42. Kaduna State Government so far, has distributed 98 trailers only. This is verifiable at the state’s ministry for Agriculture. Equally amusing and very shocking, is the “ratification” of 5.2 billion Naira fertiliser procurement at the last last executive counci. Two things occurred here- The Federal Government through the CBN gave Kaduna State monies to procure 600 trailers of fertiliser. Uba Sani again, removed 5.2 billion Naira from the KDSG treasury to purchase “400 trailers. In the end, we ended up with just 98 trailers!
So, what happened to the remaining 502 trailers? Investigations revealed that the naira equivalent was converted into dollars and handed directly to Uba Sani in Ganduje’s style. Further investigation indicates that other states received their full allocation while Kaduna got robbed by its own governor. And yet, with a straight face, he lied to the people that he provided “over 400 trailers free of charge.”
El-Rufai’s Allegations Of Buying Mansions Abroad: Silence As Confession
When former Governor Nasir El-Rufai publicly accused Uba Sani of using local government funds to buy mansions in Dubai, Seychelles, and South Africa, Nigerians expected fireworks, especially from Uba Sani’s end . El-Rufai didn’t use softer language; he flatly called Uba Sani a petty thief. But what did he do? Nothing. He curled into silence like a coward.
This silence is not maturity. It is guilt. Any innocent leader accused of such monumental theft would run to court, challenge his accuser, and defend his name. But Uba Sani knows El-Rufai has evidence. One denial and his entire empire of theft would collapse. In politics, silence is confession. And Uba Sani has confessed by keeping mute.
Spying on Appointees,Clerics And His Own Wife
As if looting was not enough, Uba Sani has turned governance into a cesspit of paranoia. Instead of working, he spends quality time tapping the phones of his own appointees, recording private conversations, and compiling blackmail files. Curiously, even his own wife,Emirs and Chiefs,Imams, Pastors,top civil servants and the Commissioner of police have their phones bugged by Uba Sani! This is a gross violation of the Cybersecurity Act. And it points to how Uba Sani is consumed by fear, insecurity, and incompetence. What does it say of a governor who doesn’t even trust his commissioners? Kaduna is being ruled by a man more interested in espionage than governance.
Ethnic and Religious Politics: Selling Kaduna for Survival
In his desperation to cling to power, Uba Sani has unleashed a toxic policy of sectarian horse-trading. He has not only surrendered the Deputy Governor’s slot to Southern Kaduna Christians but also signed a secret pact with General TY Danjuma and Zamani Lekwot to cede more key positions—not on merit, not on competence, but purely on the altar of religion and ethnicity to them. Recently, a junior permanent secretary, barely two years in service, was catapulted to become Head of Service over seasoned administrators from the Northern and Central Senatorial districts,simply because she is a Southern Kaduna Christian.
To make matters worse, he dispatched Ben Kure, The MD of KSMC to Channels TV to spew the reckless lie that Christians constitute “over 50%” of Kaduna’s population—a falsehood personally endorsed by the governor. This is obviously a deliberate attempt to rewrite demographics just justify his betrayal of fairness and balance.
Today it’s the Deputy Governor and Head of Service. Tomorrow it will be the Speakership, ministries, contracts, and parastatals. Uba Sani’s new election arithmetic is nothing but sectarian manipulation.
State-Sponsored Thuggery Against The Opposition
The attack on the ADC meeting in Kaduna, which was attended by El-Rufai, was not an accident. It was personally ordered by Uba Sani. His Chief of Staff, Liman Kila; the notorious Commissioner for Local Government, Mamman Lagos; and SSA Abdulmalik Babuji recruited thugs under the leadership of one Ali Bahago and gave them the order to attack anyone at the ADC meeting. This came after Uba Sani threatened to revoke the C-of-O of any hotel hosting ADC events.
This is a state-sponsored terrorism where Innocent citizens were brutalised simply because they dared to attend a lawful political meeting. Lately, a serving Senator Mr Lah has petitioned the ICC, alleging threats to his life by the governor’s allies—Yusuf Zailani a house of Assembly Member and Samaila Suleman, the Governors adviser on Infrastructure. This is another further proof that violence is now Uba Sani’s official policy.
Governing from Airports and Hotel Lounges
Perhaps if Uba Sani spent half the time in Kaduna that he spends junketing abroad and around the country, the state wouldn’t be in ruins. But he has turned governance into a circus of foreign trips and photo ops.
During Tinubu’s recent Brazil trip, Governor Uba Sani was initially not part of the official delegation, security bounced him. It reportedly took the Speaker of the House of Reps to lobby him onto the presidential jet. That single episode exposed him for what he is: a hanger-on and bootlicker. Even in Brazil, the President never mentioned him in all his speeches.
After the Brazil trip, he hurriedly staged a token appearance in Kaduna just to receive VP Shettima, who was scheduled to attend the wedding Fatiha of the late President Buhari’s granddaughter in Kaduna. Within hours, a private jet whisked him to Lagos to catch a London flight for “ Shopping and relaxation”. As at today, the 4th of September,2025 both Uba Sani and his deputy Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe are outside the Country. The State is under lock and key. All Government activities have been paralyzed.No acting Governor. This is the first of its kind in over 10 years!
APC in Shambles, Opposition in Celebration
While Uba Sani globetrots around the World, the APC Secretariat in Kaduna looks like a war refugee camp. The staff are hungry, angry, and neglected. Meanwhile, the PDP Secretariat beams with confidence, looking every inch like the ruling party.
The anger exploded recently when APC staff openly confronted Commissioner Mamman Lagos at the State Assembly complex, accusing him of arrogance and abandonment. The party is collapsing, and its governor is too busy chasing photo ops abroad to even care.
School Land Allocation To Cronies And Mistresses
Uba Sani claimed to have revoked lands of Alhudahuda and Queen Amina College in the “interest of education.” But in truth, he is busy grabbing lands at Capital School and sharing them among his inner circle: his younger brother, his sister-in-law, two girlfriends, and even Abdullahi Ganduje—Nigeria’s most infamous bribe-collector. Uba Sani is stripping Kaduna of its heritage and auctioning it like a desperate land merchant.
Final Word
Governor Uba Sani is not a leader; he is a parasite. A cowardly thief, a compulsive liar, a paranoid spy, a sectarian manipulator, and a state-sponsored thug. Kaduna is bleeding, abandoned, and leaderless. Therefore, we have more revealing insights into Uba Sani’s corrupt activities at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House. Keep a date with us!
