Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki was convicted on a guilty plea under a plea bargain. He pleaded guilty to the charges brought against him by the Anambra State Government last year at the State High Court in Awka, Anambra State capital.

He was charged alongside two other celbrity native doctors – Onyebuchi Okocha (a.k.a Onyeze Jesus) and Ekene Igboekweze (Eke Hit).

Nwangwu, who appeared before Justice Jude Obiora, was arrested on February 8 in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state.

He was arrested by operatives of Agunechemba over his involvement in ‘Oke Ite,’ which translates to ‘big pot,’ allegedly used to fortify youths engaged in criminal activities in the State.

It is reportedly a charm prepared with human parts, animals and herbs in a mud pot and used as a solution to challenges and for unlocking fortune.

Apart from serving a total of months in prison in Awka, Anambra State, Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki is also expected to abide by order orders of the court, including becoming an Ambassador for youth re-orientation

In addition, the court ordered that his shrine in Oba, Idemili South LGA where the located where the ‘Oke Ite’ and other fetish items are located will be destroyed.

Another term of the guilty plea is that Akwa Okuko Tiwara Oku will publicly renounce the ‘Oke Ite’ and all it stands for.
