The Nigerian Army will host the 3rd Africa Land Forces Forum 2026 ((ALFF 2026) from July 4–6, 2026 at the EUI Event Center in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Billed as the strategic defence forum of 163rd Nigerian Army Day Celebrations (NADCEL) 2026 which which honours the Nigerian Army’s service and commemorates its legacy since 1863, it will convene Chiefs of Army and senior military leadership from African and non-African nations towards addressing the wider African continent’s pressing security challenges, from terrorism and insurgency to border protection and organized banditry.
Alongside the high-level conference, ALFF 2026 will feature an international exhibition showcasing the latest global advancements in land warfare capabilities and defense technologies from international suppliers, including armored platforms, ISR technologies, force modernization tools, and integrated defense systems.
Exhibitors and sponsors will also have access to one-to-one meetings with Chiefs of Army and senior military leadership.
According to the secretariat of the 3rd Africa Land Forces Forum: “As African Armies continue its wide-ranging modernization efforts and combat security and territorial threats ALFF 2026 will serve as the central platform for driving collaboration, capability development, and continental resilience by connecting the world’s leading defence suppliers with Chiefs of Armies and senior military leadership from across Africa.”
Additionally, “while the event is centered on land forces, the agenda includes wider regional security issues that affect cross-domain stability, including piracy, border insecurity, transnational crime, terrorism, insurgency, and cross-border instability.
“The forum will examine security cooperation across Africa, with emphasis on territorial defense, intelligence-sharing, regional coordination, and responses to threats that move across borders and operating environments.
“Discussions will also cover modernization of African armies and access to technologies that support operational readiness, situational awareness, and defense infrastructure.”
According to the programme, ALFF 2026 will include a two-day conference and exhibition program before the delegation attends the Nigerian Army Day Celebrations Grand Finale on the final day.
The conference will feature keynotes, panel discussions, presentations, and technology showcase sessions focused on security and territorial challenges across the continent.
Senior Nigerian Armed Forces leaders taking part include Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede; Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu (Chief of Army Staff (COAS); Vice Admiral Idi Abbas (Chief of Naval Staff (CNS); and Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke (Chief of the Air Staff (CAS).
The forum will also welcome invited Chiefs of Armies and senior military leaders from African and non-African countries.
