Buhari returns back to Abuja, after medical checkup in London

President Muhammadu Buhari has returned to Nigeria at the end of his medical check-up in London.

The Presidential jet, which conveyed the President from London, touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Thursday evening.

President Buhari left Nigeria on March 30, 2021 for his first medical trip since 2020.

The President’s trip was almost overshadowed by protests by Nigerians over his medical trips abroad.

The protests were regularly held in front of the Nigerian High Commission in London and also the home of the Nigerian High Commissioner to London.

Peaceful protests are lawful in the UK. And since it was in the open, all protesters needed to do was to put on their face masks and maintain social distance.
