Fire guts another federal government agency headquarters

Fire has gutted another federal government agency, this time, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) State Headquarters in Jos, capital of Plateau State

This is coming barely weeks after fires gutted portions of three federal government agencies – the Treasury House Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, the Corporate Affairs Commission Corporate (CAC) headquarters in Abuja and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), corporate headquarters also in Abuja.

The fire at the CBN State headquarters in Jos started in the early hours of Tuesday.

The cause of the latest fire outbreak is not yet clear as Global Upfront Newspapers (GUN) reports that firemen are still struggling to put it off as at the press time.

On April 8, fire broke out at the Treasury House, a building housing the Accountant General of the Federation’s office. Exactly a week after, there was another fire outbreak at the headquarters of the CAC while the Independent National Electoral Commission’s office in Abuja also went up in flames days after.
