Ifeachor Family Donates To Ogbaru Flood Victims, Anambra State

The Ifeachor family, led by Professor Emmanuel Ifeachor and Dr. Charles Ifeachor have made donations to Ogbaru flood victims whose communities were submerged by the rampaging flooding that have left residents of parts of Anambra State as Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Part of the donations made by the Ifeachor family from Umuoniha Abilibaose Atani have started arriving at the distribution centres while the Noodles and Rice will be delivered on Tuesday and/ or Wednesday this week.

The family said in a statement that the donations “are to help ameliorate the suffering of Ogbaru people affected by the flood which has caused significant damage to lives and property.

“The communities in Ogbaru Local Government are expected to send their President General or representatives to collect their share of the donations at the palace of Igwe Atani.

“The donations are as follows: Pure Water: 1,420 Packages. The six villages in Atani are to share 420 Packages equally, while the sixteen other Ogbaru Towns are to share 1,000 Packages equally.

“Noodles: 100 Cartons. The six Atani Villages are to share 30 Cartons equally, and the sixteen other Ogbaru Towns are to share 70 Cartons equally.

“Rice : 24 Bags. The six Atani Villages are to to share the 24 Bags equally.

“The donors prayed that the victims would be able to get established again when the flood recedes. They also sent their condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the repose of the souls of the dead.

“Ogbaru communities were submerged in flood following the opening of the Ladgo Dam in Cameroon. The flood destroyed farms, and property and killed some people.”
