Tinubu Mourns Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended his condolences to the family of the late Senator (Dr) Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.

Born on September 3, 1971, he hailed from Nnewi in Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.

He had departed Nigeria for the United Kingdom (UK), two days ago.

Ubah defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Young Progressives Party (YPP), last year.

The former CEO of Capital Oil and Gas Limited had survived an assassination attempt in September 2022 wherein three police escorts in his convoy died. The incident occurred at Enugwu Ukwu in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State ahead of the Governorship election in which he was a contestant.

In a statement on Saturday by Presidential Spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, President said that “the deceased was a renowned businessman and politician. He was the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District at the National Assembly.

“President Tinubu commiserates with the friends and colleagues of the late Senator, the National Assembly, and the government and people of Anambra State over this sad loss.

“The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed lawmaker, as well as for strength and comfort to his family.”
