COVID-19 – Osinbajo tests negative as Nigeria records 46 cases

It is good news for Nigeria’s Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has tested negative to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Vice President Osinbajo has been on self-isolation following Monday’s diagnosis of Chief of Staff to the President, Malam Abba Kyari, as testing positive to the virus.

Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Special Adviser to the President of Nigeria on Political Matters, revealed the Vice President’s status in a tweet on Wednesday.

But Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, has tested positive for the virus.

Though Prince Charles is said to be displaying mild symptoms of the virus, a statement from Clarence House said that he is in good health.

A Clarence House spokesman said the Duchess of Cornwall had also been tested but does not have the virus.

So, in accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland.

Meanwhile, Nigeria has recorded additional two cases of the Coronavirus arising from returnee travelers.

According to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the two cases were recorded each in Osun and Lagos States.

According to NCDC statistics, 43 of the reported 46 cases are active, two discharged while is dead.
