The total of confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) globally is 2,832,520 with 197 deaths and a total recovery of 807,040. The figures are from 210 countries and territories around the world and two international conveyances.
For Europe, the total confirmed cases stand at 1,225,420 with 117,336 deaths and 396,715 recovered patient. Spain leads the country with the highest death toll in Europe with 25,969. It also recorded 60,498 recovered cases out of a total confirmed cases of 192,994. Spain, which has the highest number of confirmed cases at 219,764 has a total of 22,524 deaths and 92,355 recovered COVID-19 patients.
France comes next with a total of 22,245 deaths and 43,493 recovered patients out of a total confirmed cases of 159,828. The United Kingdom (U.K.) has a total death toll of 19,506 deaths out of a total of 143,464 confirmed cases while Germany, which has a total confirmed figure of 154,999 has 5,760 deaths and 109,800 recovered patients.
The United States (U.S.), the epicentre of the COVID-19 pandemic has a total of 926,284 confirmed cases, 52,241 deaths and 110,432 recovered patients while Canada has a total of 43,888 with 2,302 deaths and 15,469 recovered patients.
Africa has the least figures among the continents with a total of 29,840 confirmed cases, 1,328 deaths and 9,140 recovered cases. South Africa leads the pack with 4,220 confirmed cases, 79 deaths and 1,473 recovered patients. Algeria has the highest death toll in Africa with 415 out of 3,127 confirmed cases and 1,408 recoveries.
Egypt, which has 4,092 confirmed cases, has a total of 294 deaths and 1,075 recoveries. Morocco, with a total confirmed cases of 3,758 has a total of 158 deaths and 486 recoveries. Nigeria, which has jumped into seventh position on the chart, has a total of 1.095, 32 deaths and 208 recovered patients.
