Update: Nigeria records 381 new cases of COVID-19, total now 3,526

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday night announced that Nigeria has recorded the largest single day infections of Coronavirus (COVID-19) with new cases of 381.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 3,526.

The NCDC also announced a total of 67 recoveries and four deaths in Nigeria all through Thursday.

According to NCDC in its official Twitter handle, “381 new cases of #COVID19; 183-Lagos, 55-Kano, 44-Jigawa, 19-Zamfara, 19-Bauchi, 11-Katsina, 9-Borno, 8-Kwara, 7-Kaduna, 6-Gombe, 5-Ogun, 4-Sokoto, 3-Oyo, 3-Rivers, 2-Niger, 1-Akwa Ibom, 1-Enugu, 1-Plateau

“As of May 7th 2020, 3,526 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria with 601 Discharged and 107 Deaths. As of May 7th 2020, 34 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria have recorded at least one confirmed case of COVID19
