Update: Nigeria records 386 new cases of COVID-19, total now 3,912

The rate of Coronavirus (COVID-19) infections in Nigeria is entering a worrisome state as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday night announced 386 new confirmed cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 3,912.

The NCDC also announced that 78 recoveries and 10 deaths recorded in Nigeria all through Friday.

According to NCDC in its official Twitter handle, “386 new cases of #COVID19; 176-Lagos, 65-Kano, 31-Katsina, 20-FCT, 17-Borno, 15-Bauchi, 14-Nasarawa, 13-Ogun, 10-Plateau, 4-Oyo, 4-Sokoto, 4-Rivers, 3-Kaduna, 2-Edo, 2-Ebonyi, 2-Ondo, 1-Enugu, 1-Imo, 1-Gombe, 1-Osun
As at 11: 35 pm May 8th 2020, there are 3912 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria with 679 Discharged and 117 Deaths. As of May 8th 2020, 34 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Nigeria have recorded at least one confirmed case of COVID19.

“For a breakdown of confirmed cases by States, as of 8th of May; Lagos State currently have 1667, FCT-336, Kano-542, Ogun-113, Osun-36, Gombe-108, Katsina-137, Borno- 142, Edo-67, Oyo-59, Kwara-22, Akwa Ibom-17, Bauchi-117, Kaduna-95, Ekiti-12, Ondo-15, Delta-17, Rivers-21, Jigawa-83, Enugu-6, Niger-6, Abia-2, Zamfara-65, Sokoto-93, Benue-2, Anambra-1, Adamawa-15, Plateau-13, Imo-3, Taraba 15, Bayelsa 5, Ebonyi 5, Kebbi 8, Nasarawa-26, Yobe 4.”
