Nigeria records 21,371 confirmed cases out of 117,569 sample tests

Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 452 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 21,371.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said via through its official Twitter handle that seven deaths were also recorded Tuesday.

The NCDC also said that out of the total figure of 21,371 COVID-19 confirmed cases, 13,285 are active, 7,338 have been treated and discharged while 533 deaths have been recorded.

Altogether, Nigeria has collected 117,569 samples for testing as on Tuesday.

As the epicentre of COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria, Lagos State recorded the highest number of the new cases with 209 cases, followed by Delta with 37 cases and Ogun – 36.

Others include FCT – 22, Abia – 20, Enugu – 16, Bauchi – 15, Kaduna – 8, Ondo -8, Osun – 7, Imo – 3, Benue – 3 and Borno 1.
