Christian Association of Nigeria brands Reality TV show, BBNaija, evil, wants govt to ban it

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has condemned the Reality TV show, BBNaija (Big Brother Nigeria) as evil and urged political office holders and other stakeholders to discourage the immoral show.

CAN said instead, they should promote justice and moral programmes and activities that please God Almighty and humanity.

The umbrella Christian body particularly urged well-meaning Nigerians to join in the protest against the show.

Chairman of CAN in Rivers State, Stanley Dimkpa, made the call to scrap BBNAIJA while lauding three Local Government Chairmen that best managed the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the State.

Dimkpa stated that the immorality being portrayed in the BBNAIJA show should be vehemently condemned because it breeds evil.

In his words, “I want to emphasize Big Brother Naija because all of us have to fight collectively to stop this immoral act and injustice in our land, as Christians and Africans, we have respect for mankind.

“For those of us that have allowed our friends and families to encourage the patronage of Big Brother Naija, know that it is an evil and we must clampdown on it,” he said.
