Nigeria conducts 306,894 COVID-19 sample tests, records 45,244 confirmed cases with 354 new infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 354 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country on Thursday, bringing the total number of infections to 45,244.

The NCDC also said via its official Twitter handle that three persons died from complications of the virus on Thursday.

The 45,244 confirmed cases were out of 306,894 sample tests of the virus nationwide.

The NCDC data also shows that Nigeria has 11,844 COVID-19 patients on admission, 32,430 have been treated and discharged while 930 deaths have been recorded across the 36 States of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The health agency stated that out of the 354 new infections reported from 17 States, the FCT leads with 78, Lagos 76, Kaduna 23, Ebonyi 19, Oyo 18, Nasarawa 17, Rivers 17, Delta 16, Kwara 15, Akwa Ibom 13, Edo 12, Ogun 12, Plateau 11, Kano 9, Bauchi 6, Borno 6 and Ekiti, 6.
