Nigeria resumes international flights Aug 29 – Minister

The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, says international flights will resume on August 29, 2020.

Sirika tweeted on Monday: “Glad to announce the resumption of international flights from the August 29, 2020 beginning with Lagos and Abuja as we did with the domestic flight resumption.

“Protocols and procedures will be announced in due course. We thank you for your patience.”

Meanwhile, the Asaba Airport on Monday recorded its first flight, four days after it was reopened by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, for meeting the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control protocols on COVID-19 pandemic.

The airport and others were shut on March 27 to contain the spread of COVID-19.
