Buhari addresses National Assembly Thursday on unending Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorism, banditry, other crimes

President Muhammadu Buhari will address a joint session of the National Assembly on Thursday 10th December 2020.

Lauretta Onochie, President Buhari’s aide on Social Media, broke the news on Monday via her verified Twitter account.

“President @MBuhariwill address a joint session of the National Assembly @nassnigeria on Thursday 10th December 2020,” Lauretta stated.

The House of Representatives had on Tuesday summoned the President to come and explain the security situation in the country.

The House of Representatives took the bold step during plenary on Tuesday following the recent decapitation of over 43 rice farmers by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.

On Thursday, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbjabiamila, announced that President Buhari has agreed to address the House as requested by the lawmakers.
